Such scenarios can and must be repeated en masse in the States. Kudos to the young scientist. Now America needs to replace the standardized and outdated math and science teams prevalent throughout its high schools with more focused and relevant bioscience efforts, teams and competitions...all to get a leg up on foreign competition in the technology education and high tech start-up space. We just need to introduce the subjects to the students and get them excited about the potential of this scientific space. Mr President, this is the tech space which may hold achievements as significant as a man walking on the moon and where the young generation should look forward to and be excited about, not the saturated Internet startup space with its tiny (if any) impact on benefiting civilization. Watch for more detailed proposals in future entries...

A well thoughtout StackExchange post by its very founder, a guy named Joel, which answers another user's question about the proper ways to approach the division of individual stakes in a newly formed venture.
Surely there are countless other approaches, yet this looks like a reasonable set of logic to guide any team through their first attempt at self-employment.

Really enjoyed the latest YouTube video ad by Valve. This is the same company responsible for the innovative Steam game content distribution system... More commonly the company is known for its fast paced and massively popular game series such as Half Life, Team Fortress, Counter Strike, Portal and most recently Left for Dead.
Did you happen to notice the feature story about this talented, yet not well publicized team mentioned in tech and business press recently? Certainly worth a read! Start following this '2011 company to watch' by reading about the founder, Gabe Newell, here: http://blogs.forbes.com/oliverchiang/2010/11/13/names-you-need-to-know-in-2011-gabe-newell/
